Our welding students traded in tinsel for the torch and made these cool, colorful ornaments after completing their testing.
From CNC plasma cutting to a beautiful oxy-acetylene torch finish, these are sure to be the most impressive (and hottest!) ornaments on their trees this year. 😉

What a fantastic day of community and learning! 🌱 We were honored to be included in the Dorchester County Trident United Way Day of Caring.
A huge thank you for the generous donation of 15 Nelly Stevens Holly Trees (secured through a beautification grant!) and to the county team who helped us plant them. It was a great hands-on learning opportunity for our Agriculture students as well.
We also want to give a special shoutout to Clemson Extension for their expertise and leadership. We all learned that successful planting is so much more than just digging a hole! 🌳

The DCCTC Agriculture program has brought in some new garden helpers! These 5 Old Spot piglets are going to assist with rooting up and refreshing some of the garden areas.
For years, pigs have been used to clean up gardens and prep for the next season. Following their main job, they would provide high quality pork for the family.
This practice is being put on display for the DCCTC students and faculty and will provide fresh pork products in the spring after helping provide fertile and rejuvenated garden soils.
