Mr. Skelly is a dedicated Heavy Equipment Operations instructor with nearly 30 years of industry experience. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1995 to 2000 as a motor transport operator, transitioning into heavy equipment in 1999. He spent 12 years at a limestone quarry with Eastern Industries, Inc., followed by two years as a long-haul tractor-trailer driver. He later returned to heavy equipment, working with PennDOT and the DCNR Bureau of Forestry. His experience in both the private and public sectors provides students with valuable real-world insight.

In 2019, Chris began teaching Heavy Equipment Operations at the Central Pennsylvania Institute of Science and Technology, where he discovered a passion for mentoring high school students. He believes career & technical education creates life-changing opportunities. Chris relocated to South Carolina in 2025 and continues to bring knowledge, leadership, and enthusiasm to his students.
